Geysir geothermal area, has the active Strokkur geyser, which erupts every few minutes sending boiling water up to 30 meters into the air. Gullfoss waterfall or Golden Falls Waterfall is where the Hvítá river plunges into a deep canyon. Walk along the viewing paths for more viewpoints. Kerid Crater is a volcanic crater lake with vividly colored slopes and a lake at the bottom. Walk along the crater’s rim or explore the lake.
