How we compare Iceland tours and car hire
Who we are
We are Book Your Trip, an independent Iceland trip-planning site. Our car-hire guides are written and checked by the Book Your Trip editorial team. We help first-time visitors understand their options before booking, including pickup at Keflavík Airport, transmission, vehicle type, and card requirements.
How we compare
We read each rental company’s own published terms, including card and deposit rules, F-road restrictions, and pickup locations and hours. We link to the sources we use and show when we last checked them. We remove information we cannot confirm again. We do not rank or rate rental companies, and we only publish prices we can cite. We focus on the terms that matter for your trip, so you can check the specific offer before paying.
How we present tours
Our homepage tour collection uses Viator’s recommended ordering. Traveller ratings and review counts come from the partner feed; they are not reviews of BookYourTrip. Category guides help you compare the departure point, duration, group format and inclusions. A listing does not mean our team has personally taken that tour.
Starting prices can vary by date, option and group size. We do not assume every starting price is per person. Confirm the final total, pickup instructions, availability and cancellation terms on Viator before paying. We do not promise Northern Lights sightings or a universal free cancellation policy.
How we make money
We earn a commission from DiscoverCars when you book car hire through our links, at no extra cost to you. The same applies to bookings through our Viator tour links and Trip.com hotel links. Our commission does not change which facts we show. We disclose these commercial links on every page.
What we are not
We are not the rental company. We do not run a fleet, and we do not take or hold your deposit. You complete checkout on DiscoverCars.com; your rental contract is with the supplier. We explain the booking options, while the supplier’s terms set the requirements for your rental.
Corrections
We welcome corrections if you spot an out-of-date rule or a source that no longer supports the text. Please email us at booking@bookyourtrip.is with the page link and the detail that needs checking. If you have a current supplier source, please include it so we can check the wording against the published terms.
